Dangerous for a dog?
There are dogs that like to eat fruit, that is not a big problem with many fruit varieties. But beware eating the grapes by the dog! Grapes and raisins (dried grapes) are poisonous for a dog. Do not feed your dog currants or raisin bread. Also no food with raisins in it. Eating a raisin or a grape will not kill your dog at the same time, but if you ingest larger quantities, this can even be fatal for your dog.
Usually you see within 24 hours after your dog has eaten grapes that the dog is vomiting. Often you see in the vomit portions of grapes or raisins that are not digested. It often happens that your dog has diarrhea and almost no appetite. Furthermore, it happens that a dog becomes lethargic and drowsy. If this continues, your dog may suffer from dehydration symptoms. As a result, your dog also produces less urine. When your dog eventually does not urinate at all, it may be that the functioning of the kidneys stops altogether.
Do I have to go to a vet?
