Average wearing time
From the moment of coverage (the fertilization of the dog) the average gestation is about 63 days, 9 weeks. In most cases the average pregnancy in dogs is between 58 and 70 days, but the exact number of days varies per pregnancy. The most important factor that influences the exact wearing time is the size of the litter. The larger the litter becomes, the shorter the pregnancy will last. For example, a too long pregnancy is spoken when it lasts more than 71 days (in the case of 3 or more puppies) or for more than 75 days with one or two youngsters.
