Divide the daily amount of feed of an adult dog over at least two servings per day. This is particularly desirable for large dog breeds. Some dogs make too much stomach acid when they are fed once a day. This is because the stomach is empty for a longer time. This can be expressed in the spitting of bile. By shortening the time between the feeds, the chances are smaller that the dog produces too much stomach acid.
For a pup we advise to divide the daily amount over at least four servings per day. The digestive system of the puppy is not fully developed yet. From a week or 12 you can transfer to three portions per day. From six months you can feed the puppy twice a day.
we currently have a female dog, Labrador Retriever, 8 year old male. At 7.00 pm he gets 1 half feeder with dog lumps brand Bento Kronen.
After this half box of chunks he is once again good for the night and then the next day he gets food again at 7 pm.
It seems to me that in the morning you give 1 half feeder with lumps and not in the evening because of the digestion process. During the night’s sleep it does not seem to me that a dog digests this food and during the day he has little to no energy because he had dinner the night before. Or am I wrong with my reasoning ?
